ABOUT FILE FINISH
Our small team of highly experienced craftsmen are in a league of their own, upholding our core principle that there’s no substitute for industry experience and knowledge.
Prestige cars have always been our speciality and remain so. We are fully trained and certified by Thatcher (UK) and SC Solutions (UK) in the complexities associated with aluminium, carbon fibre and composite materials, including riveting, bonding and specialised finishing techniques.
Today, some of the world’s premium cars are constructed using aircraft technologies and File Finish leads the field in their repair.
We are an authorised/preferred repairer for many of the top premium luxury and sporting brands, including Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, McLaren, Jaguar, Land Rover and Morgan. Our body of work with these marques plus our willingness to invest in our facilities and people ensures File Finish delivers results as good as or better than the factory intended.
Proprietor, Rohan Pearce, started work for Mercedes Benz in 1981 and six years later, opened File Finish in Melbourne’s northern suburbs – now permanently located in one of the best looking panel shops in Australia at Fairfield. We make every repair a professionally executed process and with our highly skilled and educated staff, we set the benchmark for repair standards. Perfection.
EQUIPMENT & TECHNOLOGY
We are equipped with some of the best technology available, including the Car-O-Liner measuring system, a 3-phase high tensile steel spot welding machine and aluminium welding and riveting equipment.
We also have composite repair and bonding tools – one clear-floor two-post hoist and one flat bed hoist. These are augmented by a separate dismantling/assembly area, an area for aluminium repairs (that can be curtained off), a tiled wash bay and a separate hand-over area for finished cars.
There is a dedicated repair booth for McLaren super cars, replete with specialised tools and equipment necessary to repair and refinish these high-tech machines.
